Coming Out Of Your Shell

     Listening to the rain outside hitting the ground was soothing. Steve sat in his living room with Michelle, which was very quiet. The quietness was pretty soothing but annoyed Steve. He didn't like quiet. He likes exciting sounds and action. Sitting around doing nothing wasnt too much of his thing. He wanted to get up and run outside, dance in the rain and get soaked. It was summer so the rain would feel amazing. But Michelle being her down and low self, didnt want to. She would either ignore him or give him a look. Finally after many failed attempts to get her to go outside. Steve got an idea.

  "Hey Michelle. Wanna go somewhere? Like a movie or somethin?". Steve asked leaning forward from off the couch.

  Michelle didn't look at him but she did speak. "I suppose. Only if its a good movie. Not like last week.".

     He nodded and stood up, walking out to his car. She followed, but once she got out onto the porch she saw he was in his car. Closing the door she wondered what he was smiling about. Then it hit her. It's raining, and theres no shelter besides the car. He had a wild smirk on his face that sent shivers down her spine. Turning around quickly and in a panic she tried to open the door to go back inside. But she locked the door, and the only key is in the car with Steve. She ran over to his car and tried to open the car door. Those were locked too, and on the inside Steve still had the same smirk.

  "Whats the matter? Gettin wet?". He sneered through his cracked window.

  "Steve Randle LET ME INSIDE!!!". She growled and pounded on the car door a bit.

  Smirking Steve folded his arms and looked at her. "Dance for me and I'll let you in.".

     Michelle looked at him like he was out of his mind. Did he really expect her to dance? Let alone in the rain? She stood there for a bit feeling the rain fall onto her and roll down her face and neck. It did feel pretty good to her. Figuring that she'd never get in the car, she danced a little. Throwing back her head a bit and bouncing, spinning around. She stoppped at the sound of Steve laughing his head off. While he was doing this he made the mistake of unlocking the car. Seeing this as an advantage Michelle opened the door and pulled him out of the car, which was surprisingly easy because he wasnt paying any attention.

  "Take that for making me dance!". Michelle laughed at Steve after pulling him out onto the wet ground.

  All Steve did was laugh and after calming down he looked up at her. "Finally got you to come outside.".

     He smiled at her with a small blush. Seeing this Michelle couldnt help but smile back and blush along. Steve stood up and ruffled the water out of his hair. She watched and slowly moved closer to him, gently wrapping her arms around his waist. Steve was startled a bit and looked down at her, she nuzzled her head into his chest. Smiling and wrapped his arms around her small frame and layed his head on hers.

  "Im proud of ya Shelly. Finally coming out of your Shell..". Steve thought to himself and continued to hold her in the rain.
